C1: Introduction to the field of work and health
Module Description


Aim
To become acquainted with the course, program road
map, as well as current work and health issues from
different perspectives.
Upon completion, students will be able to:
– Contribute actively to the learning process and use
the learning platform OLAT
– Distinguish levels of analysis and perspectives of
various work and health disciplines
– Define work and health problems drawing on an
interdisciplinary approach
– Describe the network of actors in the field of work
and health
Contents
– Introduction to DAS Work+Health with presentations by program lecturers
– Structure, goals, and learning principles of the
interdisciplinary study program
– Work and health policy (in Switzerland and Europe)
and stakeholders
– Multidisciplinary perspectives (medicine, psychology, sociology, engineering, etc.)
– Role of different actors and professions in the field
of work and health
– Models of health (physical, mental, social health)
and diseases
